Wed 30 Sept – Strata Subdivision: a Real Life Example PLUS Terrific Tax Time Tips

Don’t miss this month’s meeting! Our Brisbane Property Meeting convenor, Joanne Verikios, will share her experiences and lessons learned during her very first strata titling project – a block of 6 flats on one title in rural NSW. By the end of the process, Joanne had 6 renovated, strata-titled flats and a “free” block of land with DA in place to build another 4 dwellings, but it wasn’t all plain sailing…

Over the years Joanne and her husband have bought and sold real estate in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. Strategies have included buy and hold, buy and sell, renovate and flip, holiday letting, adding a granny flat and strata subdivision.

In addition to property investing, Joanne is an author and entrepreneur with interests as diverse as horses, health and wellness, and shipping containers.
