Have you ever wondered if you should consult an engineer? Or what roles the different types of engineers fulfill? Then make sure you join us for our next meeting!
Becky Paroz is an engineer, an author and an educator with a great sense of humour and a talent for challenging the status quo. She will share with us some of the wisdom and lessons gleaned from her 20 years experience in the engineering and construction industry, including more than 5 years as a qualified Project Manager.
Becky studied Civil Engineering early in her career and realised that she loved working on the project and its outcomes rather than the figures and the design! An award winning consultant and a regular speaker at state and national industry conferences, she is known for taking on the difficult and unusual roles and delivering beyond expectations for her clients.
Becky has worked on projects spanning the whole gamut of scenarios a property investor might encounter; from small road and subdivision projects to landmark projects such the $4 billion Alcan G3 Upgrade and the 100kms pipeline that was going to “save Queensland” during the drought several years ago. Her company, Queen B Project Systems, offers the development and integration of culture and systems for the construction industry, as well as basic industry consulting and project management.
Becky will reveal what types of engineers exist, why and when to use an engineer, how to pick a good one and how things can go badly awry if you use the wrong one or none at all.
Have your questions ready! Bring your notebooks and pencils and get ready for a great evening of learning and networking. We will also do a bit of brainstorming so you can contribute to developing next year’s program.
See you there!
